MARYVALE SEEKS BOARD OF EDUCATION CANDIDATE

The Maryvale School District Board of Education may potentially fill one vacancy on the

Board that was created due to the resignation of one of its current members. The Board may

decide to appoint one new member for a term ending with the next annual election of the School

District (May 20, 2025) at which time such vacancy shall be filled by election.

A Board of Education member of the Maryvale Union Free School District must be:

 -a citizen of the United States;

- eighteen (18) years of age or older;

- able to read and write;

 -a legal resident one year prior to the election (in this case, one year prior to

appointment);

 the only member of his/her family (that is, cannot be a member of the same household)

on the Maryvale Board of Education.

Additionally, a Board of Education member of the Maryvale Union Free School District:

- cannot be an employee of the Maryvale School District;

 -may not hold simultaneously another incompatible public office;

 -must not have been removed from a school district office within one year preceding the

date of election to the Board (in this case, one year preceding the appointment).

Interested and qualified candidates must submit a letter of interest and a resume to the

Clerk of the Board of Education, Mrs. Sheena Palmer, The Samuel R. Bennett Administration

Offices Building, 1050 Maryvale Drive, Cheektowaga, NY 14225. These must be received on

or before September 6 th , 2024.
