On June 14, 1777, the Continental Congress approved the design of a national flag. Did you know: There have been a total of 27 variations in flag design over the years, as colonies grew into states making the 50 states that are represented on the flag today by the white stars. Today our students celebrated Flag Day! Thank you to our staff for organizing this event and thank you to members and leaders of Pack 554 for attending and folding the flag.

Western New York is dealing with air quality issues today due to the Canadian wildfires. The air quality index is forecasted to be at 140 today, which is unhealthy for sensitive groups such as young children and people with asthma or sensitivity to air pollution. As a result, we are going to move all outdoor activities indoors today, including PE classes, playground trips and recess.

"Mental Health Awareness Month has been observed in the U.S. since 1949. Every year during the month of May, NAMI joins the national movement to raise awareness about mental health. Together, we fight stigma, provide support, educate the public and advocate for policies that support the millions of people in the U.S. affected by mental illness.
